Director of Youth Ministry
Eastminster United Church, Belleville

This position is open to Canadian residents who are members in good standing of a Christian church.
The ideal candidate will have a background or interest in education, ministry and/or theology, and will have strong leadership skills related to youth ministry.
The position my be ideal for someone thinking about full-time church ministry in the future.

The main duties will include:
– Establishing a regular program for church youth that is entertaining and has spiritual component.
– Teaching or staffing the Youth Sunday School class.
– Leading an annual weekend retreat for youth.
– Relating and connecting with teenagers on a personal level.
– Maintaining communication with youth and young families through email, phone, social media etc.
– Establishing a monthly and calendar related to youth activities.
– Attending Sunday Service at Eastminster and leading the Children’s Moment when asked by the Lead Minister.
– Attending Staff meetings.
– Establishing and working with a Youth Committee.

This position will report to the Lead Minister.

Chalmers and Sydenham Street United Churches, Kingston

We seek an Intentional Interim Minister who wishes to serve two historic congregations in downtown Kingston.  Chalmers United Church and Sydenham Street United Church have chosen to move forward in an innovative model of shared worship, while maintaining the presence and ministry of each congregation in their heritage buildings.

We seek in minister who has a progressive, creative and scholarly theological framework; a keen interest in and commitment to pastoral care for all ages; excellent communication skills; a passion for social justice both locally and globally, and the training and ability to support our congregations through a time of transition.  One of the churches is an Affirming congregation, the other is examining the process to become officially Affirming.  Kingston, located at the east end of Lake Ontario, is a progressive city with a rich educational, cultural, and historic presence.  The vacancy is effective January 1, 2018.  The combined JNAC Report, as well as the Chalmers/Sydenham Street Visioning document and other relevant information regarding the life and work of the congregations may be found on either website: or
